Nnamdi Azikiwe University Women Association (NAUWA) Holds Their End Of The Year Party (Watch Video)
The University Women under the umbrella of Nnamdi Azikiwe University Women Association (NAUWA) recently held their end of the year party which was full of glamour. The end of the year party which held at the University auditorium had in attendance both members of the academic and non-teaching staff from the three campuses of the University all beautifully clad in their NAUWA attires.
Addressing the women, the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Joseph Ahaneku enjoined women to be stronger in their drive and pursuit of any just cause. The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Ahaneku who was represented by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Administration), Prof. Carol Arinze-Umobi charged them never to allow themselves to be intimidated or be deterred by anybody or any event.
He stressed the need for women to boldly showcase their talents and the stuff they are made of noting that except you establish whom you are, no one would.
The Vice-Chancellor praised UNIZIK Women for their resilience, high sense of purpose, doggedness and unity existing among them and pledged the university management’s support for any just cause they are pursuing.
Earlier in her address, the convener and wife of the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Gladys Ahaneku commended the women for being of their best behavior in the University noting that the essence of the annual end of year party was to wind off and also thank God for his protection throughout the year.
Dancing, exchange of gifts, renditions, thought provoking questions and answers formed the high light of the event.
