Yesterday, The 28th of February 2018 would go down the history books of our great University, as over 300 students with an incredible desire to excel and improve their skills participated in the ‘One day free Google digital training’ organised by the Directorate of Entrepreneurship of the Students’ Union Government in collaboration with the Chike Okoli Center for Entrepreneurial Studies(COCES),Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka.
The training which had two segments; the morning phase was on brand development by the CEO, Encodeup, Mr Godson Chinweuba.

The students where introduced to the rudiments of content development, ethics of brand marketing and promotion and the use of some applications and other resources used in brand developments like canva.com, Coreldraw and others.

The afternoon session was on Social media for Profit, this session was anchored by the Digitrybe team, led by Mr Frank and Mr Chisom Okoye. They took the students on how to make effective use of the social media and how they can use the social responsibly and create jobs from themselves by doing same.
 
The event also had some key SUG officials in attendance,the President; Comrade Ikenna Igwebuike, the Vice President and the SUG PRO where also in attendance.
The ever hardworking and trailblazing director of Chike Okoli Center for Entrepreneurial studies graced the occasion also. In her opening remark, she encouraged the students and commended them in their efforts to make themselves employable by acquiring the right skills.

She fired them up with motivational talks, while urging them to be at their best at all times, as the COCES center is always open to provide any assistance/support that they would require at any point in time.
The event came to a glorious end,after the President gave the closing remarks. In his remark, he promised the students that he would always have their interests at heart and the best was yet to come. He urged them to get ready for more positive developments like this from his administration as the best is yet to come. He also urged all existing entrepreneurs to fill their details in the database being collated by the directorate of entrepreneurship so as to assist the union in proper planning.
At the end,students left COCES auditorium better than they came in that morning, having received the right skills to make a difference.
