The Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ) wishes to announce the commencement of the 2014 NAWOJ essay competition as part of the activities marking the 25th anniversary of the association.
Students are invited to start submitting entries for the contest.
Eligibility:
Participants for the Nawoj Essay Contest must be final year students in the following higher institutions: University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN); The Federal Polytechnic, Kaduna; The Federal Polytechnic, Ibadan; Nigeria Institute of Journalism, Lagos; University of Jos (UNIJOS); University of Maiduguri (UNIMAID) and Federal Polytechnic, Auchi.
Method of Application/Submission:
Interested students are to write an essay titled: The need to include gender sensitive reporting in Mass Communication schools’ curriculum” in not more than 500 words and submit to: info@nawoj.com

Closing Date:
The essays must be submitted to the e-mail address on or before Monday 15th September, 2014.
Prize:
Three winners will get N200,000.00 (Two hundred thousand naira) each and one year internship in media organisations.
