The management of Lagos State University LASU, Ojo has directed their students to proceed on an indefinite recess following the strike embarked upon by the Academic Staff Union of Universities LASU chapter.
The union had commenced their strike to protest government’s inability to fulfill the demands of the lecturers ranging from the student’s tuition hike to the retirement age of professors.
According to a statement from the university’s spokesperson, Kayode Sutton, the directive became necessary as a precautionary measure to avert any unfortunate incident on campus since academic activities were not in progress.
