ASUP Strike Update: FG, Lecturers’ Negotiation Progresses
The hopes of polytechnic students in the country of going back to school has been given a massive boost as the latest report on the strike embarked upon by the Academic Staff Union of Polytechnics ASUP has it that negotiations between the Federal Government and the Lecturers is yielding good fruit.
Supervising Minister of Education, Chief Nyesom Wike when speaking to reporters in Abuja on Friday said that the ASUP strike will soon be called off as the FG has engaged the members of ASUP in talks to resolve the pending issues for them to call of the s.
He urged polytechnic students to be optimistic as they will soon be going back to school.
The ASUP strike is over a year old now as the poly students have lost one academic session due to the industrial action by the lecturers.
